New Ways to Support CVNC
March 13, 2017
Dear CVNC Participant,
Would you be interested in helping to increase the outreach and effectiveness of Catholic Voice North Carolina? CVNC is seeking to broaden its influence in the state by doing some additional grass roots organizing around the issues that are important to Catholics. We will do this through the creation of a group of supporters within CVNC.
Just to be clear, we are NOT soliciting funds here. What we are asking for is an additional grass-roots effort in support of CVNC as we seek to influence public policy in a Catholic way.
In the future as important issues arise we will like to ask these supporters to influence the people in their parishes and communities. For example, you could be an advocate for bulletin and pre-Mass CVNC announcements in your parish. You could also send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper or submit an op-ed column. We can help with the letters, columns and bulletin announcements by sending you some suggested copy that you could then add your thoughts to, or use unchanged.
If you would like to be involved, and help us make a greater impression on our elected officials, Click here and answer “Yes” to the survey question at the bottom of the page.
Thank you for your continued support of Catholic Voice North Carolina.
Yours in Christ,
The Most Reverend Peter J. Jugis
Bishop of Charlotte
The Very Reverend Michael Shugrue
Administrator, Diocese of Raleigh
